Christmas#2

Well I decided to do another post, I am really bored and got some new ideas so....

This year for Christmas we are going to stay at home! But towards the end of the holidays my grandparents are coming from South Africa to visit us! It would be the second time they are coming and we are all really excited.

Well back to the topic, Christmas. Christmas Eve we will be going to midnight mass and then after that we open up presents from the family and then the next morning we open up our presents from "Santa". We have a big breakfast and then we are going to meet up with three other families and have a huge lunch!

In South Africa Christmas is really big, the beach and waterfront gets decorated in light and many houses decorate their house with lights too. Every year on the 16th of December my uncle would host a Christmas party for a couple orphanages in East London. The whole family and the kids would all go to his house and have a massive braai (BBQ) and swim; after that we would settle down play some games and then open presents from Santa and once it got dark we would go around the city on the search for lights. There would be this really nice guy who would let us into his house and look at all the decorations and his lights around the house. On Christmas Eve the whole family my close family of 48 would attend midnight mass, then after an hour or two of church and carols we would go to one of the family members house. We would all eat and open presents from the family, my older cousin and I would present the presents to the other family members. After that we would all go home and then the next day go to a different house for lunch. Everyone would bring heaps of food and then we would all eat and play for the rest of the day. I have many more memories about South Africa Christmas was really fun!

College

Next year I am going to college, I am going to St Mary's College, I am really excited to go next year and make new friends and playing new sports. The thing I am mostly worried about is getting lost. Otherwise I am kinda excited for college I have made a few friends already and cant wait to join the sports teams:D

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU WANT TO PLAY IN COLLEGE OR NEXT YEAR?

Thursday

For the reflection this week we had to write about our Tuesday, because it was Dino day/ inter zone athletics day. But Athletics was cancelled, so now we had to write about our Thursday.

Well yesterday (Thursday) was my college orientation day. The day began at 9.15, i got there early i met up with some St Brigids girls and we played king. I met the dean for next year, he was really nice! We started off with the opening prayer from the head girl and the leadership team.  We got split into 6 groups and told that we had to do the scholarship exam! We had to do a English and Maths one English first then a break for some morning tea.

After the tests we went down to the gym! We played a game of Bench Ball and our team won all four games! The next game we played was Fat Mat Racing! The game is sort of a relay race with these huge mats that you would usually use for landing in high jump. What you do is to run as fast as you can an dive onto the mat and push it as far as you can then the next pair in your team goes, then so on from one end of the court to the next! Our team won all the games,, there was this one time when we  went in three's the two other people went and then a started after them and they had already dived on the mat, I tried to dive but I over ran it and face planted into the ground!

We also did R.E and Science in Science we got to make some colours experiment with electricity and do an experiment. The first one i did was creating colours with these chemicals (i think) we made blue, orange, yellow and green and i made brown by mixing all the colours together! I the other thing we did was POP! and experiment with acid and fire ( i think) It was really fun because it made a popping sound!

The day was really really fun and I cant wait to go to college next year!

Akinator and the Birthday Game:D

Ok, so most of you probably know of the game Akinator well if you don't it is so cool Here it is. The other thing that is kinds cool is the birthday game, mine was I kissed a ninja because I was drunk, I couldn't get the picture to be clear but you can search it up on the internet. NBA Christmas

This year the NBA has made a commercial for Christmas it is called Jingle hoops. Its is so cool, I saw it on the Crowd Goes Wild on Tuesday.

Book Charater Week

So as you know last week was book character week. It was loads of fun I missed the parade at the start of the day because I had a orthodontist appointment, but when I got we did a book quiz all the houses chose 5 people from their house group Nicole and I chose Adam-YR4, Riley-YR5, Catherine-YR6, Samantha-YR7 and Stephanie YR-8. We came second-which earned us 300 points and we also lost by one point!

I went as a CHERUB Agent and so did Sam and Matt.C. We had a mission at lunch to find Daniel , he was supposed be auditioning for the talent quest but didn't turn up. During the Hunger Games we were in alliance and Aiden because he was James Bond. I made to the last two(Joe and I) But Joe won.

Muggle

Today for book week I  decided to be a muggle, from the Harry Potter series. I was going to be the Diary of the Wimpy Kid guy, but I didn't want to write. Otherwise tomorrow I am going to go as an CHERUB agent, but the shirt we bought hasn't arrived from the UK yet so I printed out a logo and pined it on, it doesn't look like the real thing but it better than nothing! Below are a family of famous muggles!
