The Hunger Games
‘Winning means fame and fortune losing means certain death.’
In the ruins of North America lies a nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel by forcing the districts to enter into the hunger games 24 tributes between the ages of 12 to 18. 16year old Katniss Everdeen a strong willed girl who will do anything for her younger sister. When Prim is entered into the Games,
“I volunteer as tribute,” Yells Katniss.
Katniss is entered with 16 year old Peeta Mellark who is a baker.
‘I have always liked you ever since we started school.’ Says Peeta
Katniss and Peeta are named the star crossed lovers of the Games.
