Camp

Hey! On Friday the year 8's got back from camp at OPC. Camp was challenging and also was a lot of fun for everyone.  In the 5 days we were there we did Kayaking,Caving,Tubing, High Ropes,Flying Fox and camping out with no tents the whole night.

The most challenging thing I did was going caving. It was really scary ,the first gap you had to fit through looked really small but once you went further into the cave it got bigger at one point I could stand up! The thing I found the easiest was the Kayaking when we went in doubles. When we went as singles it was really hard and a double was much easier because if you wanted a rest the other person could kayak while you rested. Camp was not what I expected from what I saw in pictures from previous years. My proudest moment was when I came out the cave,I was really proud of myself for doing and not crying over it.
My favourite moment was when we all sat outside and was talking about all the embarrassing things that had happened in our lives so far. I said when my sister ran around a store with someones suitcase when we were on holiday and she got really embarrassed.

Overall, camp was alot of fun and I learnt new things and tried things wouldn't be able to do at home.

Bye J
